Sat, 14 Feb 1981

We didn’t have to wait a full week for our next get-together because Michael had arranged a social evening at his house for the following Saturday. Very inconveniently the hospita...

Postbridge
Sun, 15 Feb 1981

A chance to look at the moor next day with a run to Postbridge, and a nice sunny morning, even if the breeze was cold. The long climb from Bickington to Haytor was relieved with a...

I only went out for the morning on the Kenn Valley run but it was quite a nice day. Apart from slight problems with a couple of members who were faster uphill than the main bunch ...

Dawlish
Sun, 01 Mar 1981

The same area on the March afternoon run, because we were at Don and Grace’s for tea, but with care we managed not to duplicate much of the previous week’s run. We didn’t get the ...

Cornwood
Sun, 08 Mar 1981

It was ‘orrid’ on the day we were due to go to Cornwood, with a very strong sou’west wind making the drag from Dartington to Marley Head harder than usual. A couple of miles short...

Inter-DA Photographic Competition 2

Crowcombe hostel buzzed before a slide shoot-out: Bristol kept the trophy as landscapes failed to sway judge Jack Gillespie.
